Database Sync Software

Database Syncing is coming! We are pleased to announce that a new feature will be available soon! Novosoft developers recently started implementing a new feature called database synchronization which will work for both local and networked databases and synchronize database tables. This feature will exploit ODBC drivers, i.e. will be applicable to virtually all types of databases used today.

Database Synchronization with Handy Backup

At present, Handy Backup offers a common Database Backup plug-in which backs up tables of ODBC-compatible databases and three separate plug-ins for MSSQL Server Backup, Oracle Backup and DB2 Backup which take into account specific MS SQL, Oracle and DB2 peculiarities and give highly accurate results. Though a backup of database can be used for database backup synchronization (through restoring it to a different server), it’s quite complicated and requires certain expertise.

With the new feature, Handy Backup will automatically perform comparison and synchronization of your databases - either as a run-once situation or on a schedule!
