Outlook Address Book Location

Outlook Address Book

Outlook address book is a compilation of various address books and mailing lists, including the "Contacts" folder, Personal Address Book files (.pab), Internet LDAP directories, the Global Address List (GAL) from Microsoft Exchange Server, and more.

Keep in mind that Outlook settings vary depending on the operating system, with different files responsible for specific settings stored in separate locations (for example, fonts are saved in a unique folder).

Outlook Address Book File

The primary data file for Outlook is the PST file, which contains emails, calendars, contacts, tasks, and notes. Outlook is required to access and manage items in PST files. By default, the PST file is stored at: C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
