New Agent for Ubuntu

Handy Backup Server Network now supports an agent for the Ubuntu 22.04 distribution, enabling backup creation for file systems and databases like PostgreSQL and MySQL.

Installation instruction

To create backup tasks on Ubuntu, you need to install the Handy Backup Management Panel on a Windows computer, and then install the Workstation on the Ubuntu machine.

Improved FTP Synchronization

Changes in the new version enhance data synchronization via FTP protocol. Specifically, remote directory handling has been optimized when requesting root listings. Additional arguments with paths and names have been added to server and workstation logs, ensuring more reliable and accurate data synchronization while minimizing the risk of data loss.

SFTP Plugin Optimization

The update includes optimization of the SFTP plugin by utilizing absolute paths. This change significantly improves data transfer processes over the secure SFTP protocol, ensuring greater reliability and security.

Improved IMAP Request Strategy

The new version introduces a revised delay strategy for retrying requests upon receiving TOO_MANY_REQUESTS errors with the IMAP protocol. It now employs an exponential backoff method starting from 1 second, replacing the previous strategy with timeouts from 1 ms. This change allows for more efficient management of retry requests and reduces the likelihood of errors when working with mail servers.
