Here goes Paragon backup review. With its Backup and Recovery and Drive Backup series Paragon has gained quite somewhat good backup reviews among the user community. The first product is reported to be approved by lots of home users, while the second one is intended for the business backup (unfortunately, there isn’t much free backup software nowadays, this one being no exception).
Consider Paragon Backup & Recovery 11 and Paragon Drive 10 Backup Server, respectively. Due to a relative popularity of both, in this Paragon backup review it’s interesting to have a brief look at the features.
Both programs serve their purpose: here you can find practically every backup and recovery tool you can think of. Even the stuff usually considered somewhat extra (like the address book backup) is all there and is pleasure to work with.
Unfortunately, this is not the best backup software - the things could be much better with the change of the remote recovery approach: you have to use the separate program for doing this.
Another disadvantage is the lack of compatibility with the Short Business Server Windows series. While the 2003 versions are supported, the 2008 ones are not. All of these don’t allow to call Paragon stuff the best backup software out there.
For those, who use Windows SBS 2008 (or Windows 2008 R2) and want to protect their systems from any data loss events, Handy Backup Server Network can be recommended. This one also has the most features mentioned in the above Paragon backup review and offers some more (like Lotus Notes/Domino and 1C backups).
